In the first 5 months of the current year, in fact, BYD is the market leader by detachment in Italy in the sale of electric vans. The data speak of 687 vans registered, for a market share of just over 24 percent.

Until last year BYD had not registered a single van in Italy. To give an idea, Ford, FIAT Professional and Toyota follow with market shares around 10 percent.

According to the official data, the ‘credit’ goes to the eTP3, a low-cost electric van from the Chinese Brand (price for Italy is around 14 thousand euros) with a GVW of 2.4 tons, payload of 780 kilos and wheelbase of 2,725 millimeters. Thanks to a 45 kWh capacity battery pack, the BYD eTP3 boasts 233 km of mixed-cycle range, rising to 270 in an urban context. It also fast charges up to 50 kW of power.
