As of today, the city of San Sebastian will have two new 100% electric Irizar buses, in addition to the one which has been operating since July 2014.
These buses will join the fleet of the Dbus company and will serve on line 26 which links Amara with Martutene along the banks of the Urumea (Riberas, Loiola, Txomin and Martutene).
The new buses are two 12-metre long, 100% electric, zero emissions Irizar i2e models which have been designed with the aim of optimising the use of energy, improving the performance of Dbus's city buses.
These totally silent, zero emission vehicles achieve a range of over 200 kilometres and include sodium-nickel batteries that provide power to the electric motor, resulting in a nominal torque of 1500 Nm and 180 kW of power. The vehicle regenerates braking energy as electricity, increasing battery life.
